Tonic and stimulating, builds appetite, reduces gas, anti-catarrh, expectorant.
Indications
Stimulates the digestive system and reduces excess gas. In India and Egypt, cardamom seeds are usually added to coffee. It has a soothing effect on spastic colitis. Recommended for chills and bronchitis.
They are also used in perfumery and cooking to flavour dishes.
Caution
No contra-indication at normal doses.
